Welcome, Andrew Simmons from the UVIC School of Social Work

LifeRing Canada enjoys a reciprocally rewarding relationship with the University of Victoria's School of Social Work and have previously benefited from having graduate students come and learn about what we do while providing their hard work and dedication to better themselves before going out into the workforce.

Andrew Simmons is our newest Practicum Student and already brings experience derived from working in a community mental health capacity through employment in emergency transition shelters in Vancouver’s lower east side. Presently Andrew is completing his Bachelors of Social Work at the University of Victoria, with plans to continue his scholastic adventure to attain his Masters. Andrew feels LifeRing fills a very important gap in the recovery social support network and is invigorated to become its ally.

Andrew comes at an exciting time for LifeRing and we are pleased to have Andrew join us, so welcome!
